The Beasley Brothers: Keith, Paul and Kevin
The Beasley Brothers were born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, a small town with incredible opportunities to hunt and fish; the brothers took advantage of them all.

At a young age, the three boys became very passionate about hunting whitetails. Extensive time in the field and attention to detail paid off over the years as they have harvested many trophy bucks. The brothers' thirst for knowledge in the hunting world has taken them on multiple adventures where they have harvested many great trophy bucks, moose, bears and turkeys.

With such a strong love for the woods, the three boys soon found a way to turn their passion into careers. In 2005, they created Ontario Monster Whitetails Magazine; a publication dedicated to bringing hunters the latest and greatest stories and information on Ontario deer hunting. Soon after, they took over the cherished Big Game Records of Ontario (FROW). In 2009 the boys dreams went to another level as they joined the "Canada in the Rough" crew along side their mentor Thomas Pigeon.

The Beasley Brothers are down to earth, home-town boys that have become some of Canada’s most consistent and successful hunters.
Bear Kelly
Synthetic Scents
Bear Kelly has been hunting since he was just about able to walk, or so he would have you believe. Bear grew up in a true outdoors family. His father taught him everything he knows today. The most important lessons Bear’s father bestowed upon him was his honesty, integrity and work ethic. Bear is a very dedicated and hard working person who treasures his family. He has actively hunted big and small game and has taken hundreds of animals with the bow, long arm, hand gun and muzzleloader. His true passion lies with his Quest bow. He loves to be able to look into his animal’s eyes – “to become one with his prey” at that moment of truth when he releases that arrow taking the animal as humanely as possible. Bear is a spiritual individual who demands precision. He demands it of himself and expects it of others.

Bear is the proud father of four children Sara, Joe, Zachery and Travis. Bear and his wife Ann have taught their children as Bear had been taught by his father to be hard working, respectful and honest in all aspects of life. Bear was there when Sara arrowed her first wild hog. This was Sara’s first kill and as she was taught by her father it was a perfectly executed shot. Bear was there to help guide his son Joe through his award as Eagle Scout in the Boys Scouts. Joe was able to successfully complete this task because of the values he had been taught and the character that he had developed with the assistance of his father.

Bear is well known throughout the hunting world and can be found in the off season conducting seminars and instructing classes. He is also a renowned trapper which comes into play during deer season and reducing his scent to be a more effective hunter. As a trapper and an archery hunter, Bear has learned that proper scent elimination is the most important element to be successful. “Setting the trap requires patience, scent control and proper lure presentation. You need to create a picture for your prey. A tasty morsel and no humane presence create a picture to a hungry coyote.” Bear stresses that it is just as important to be scent free on the way to your “trap” as it is while at the actual trap site. It does not matter if your trap is a leg hold or an ambush site 15 feet in a tree stand – proper scent control equals success.

Bear, and his best friend and fellow Pro-Staffer Jack Coad, specialize in introducing kids and women to all aspects of the outdoor world. Bear believes this is crucial to our future as hunters and that kids and women are the next frontier. Bear’s greatest fear is that hunters become discriminatory amongst themselves which could lead to the steady erosion of our hunting rights and privileges. We as hunters, regardless of the legal hunting implement of choice, must stick together to protect our heritage. “United we stand, divided we fall” is one of Bear’s favorite quotes.

Thomas Pigeon
"Canada in the Rough"
When it comes to hunting and his respect for the outdoors, Thomas Pigeon, host of the "Canada in the Rough" television series, sums up his life-long relationship with our great wilderness - "Whether walking in the bush to simply observe or with bow in hand stalking a buck through the first autumn snowfall, the outdoors is my sanctuary".

His life-long love of the outdoors was seeded as a Boy Scout and fueled by his father's passion for hunting and fishing. He is the founder of a national hunting and conservation advocacy group and a founder of the Young Hunter Education Scholarship Program (YHES). His hunting interests include upland game and migratory birds, but his primary passion for exotic big game has taken him throughout North America and beyond. Pigeon is an expert in archery, muzzle loading and rifle marksmanship. He is a life member of several hunting organizations including Safari Club International, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Pheasants Forever and the National Rifle Association.

Join Thomas for an exciting and entertaining discussion outlining some of his extraordinary travels and hunting experiences.
Bob Wozniak
Predator Calling
Being an avid hunter and fisherman his whole life led Bob to a 35-year career with the New York State Environmental Conservation Department, working in and managing many conservation programs. The reintroduction of wild turkey in New York State led to the eventual reward of being able to hunt them. The drive to consistently call in turkeys resulted in working with long time friend Dick Kirby to start Quaker Boy Game Call Company, whose mission statement is to build the most realistic and easiest to use game calls possible. Marketing Quaker Boy calls all across North America has initiated opportunities to hunt from coast to coast and most places in between. Bob will share tips garnered from all those experiences, old trapping days and specifically how to become a better predator caller.
