TORONTO SPORTSMEN’S SHOW BAITS VISITORS WITH EXCITING NEW FEATURES
Toronto show boasts new location and more entertainment than ever
TORONTO – January 12, 2010 – Outdoor enthusiasts will flock to The Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) to celebrate the great outdoors at the 2010 Toronto Sportsmen's Show. March 17th to 21st the top authorities in fishing, camping, hiking, hunting and boating will set up camp at the show’s brand new home.
In its 63rd year, the Toronto Sportmen’s Show will launch exciting new highlights in celebration of a new beginning in its new home. Visitors won't have to cast their nets far to catch the appearance of Bob Izumi, host of Real Fishing, Canada's longest running fishing show. Bob Izumi will entertain as he teaches spectators the ultimate tricks of the trade to reel in that ultimate catch. For those who would rather fish for prizes, visitors can still cast their rods at the Toronto Sun Casting pond for a chance to win a share of the $75,000 in cash and prizes.
Want to unleash your wild side? The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters is hosting the wild turkey seminar. This program includes information about the natural history of wild turkeys, hunting safety and ethics. After learning the fine art of the turkey call, visitors can get wild over the fascinating birds of prey exhibit. Some of North America's endangered species including the Peregrine Falcon, Eastern North American Barn Owls and Bald Eagles, will be on hand to get up close and personal.
“As the largest combined outdoors, fishing and boating show in Canada, we're happy to not only offer expert advice, but also to entertain outdoor enthusiasts and families alike,” said Heather MacRae, Show Manager, Toronto Sportmen’s Show. “Whether you are an avid fisherman, a casual hiker, or simply a dog lover, the selection of entertainment and exhibits truly offers something for everyone.”
With its growing line up of features and exhibits, the 2010 Toronto Sportsmen’s Show is pleased to set up shop at its new home at the MTCC – its central location and state-of-the-art facilities are sure to be a treat for show goers.
