Ontario Toyota Dealers Association Presents the Fish TV Zone

This interactive area allows both young and old to experience angling seminars straight from the Fish TV Pros. On top of that, the 40 foot seminar tank will allow everyone to visualize what’s actually happening under water. It’s a great experience for all.

Leo Stakos, Ron James and Jeff Chisholm, prominent hosts of the National syndicated television series Fish TV have been avid anglers most of their lives. Their passion for fishing and the outdoors has translated into the building of the successful outdoor multi media company, Fish On Productions Inc.

Whether its television, tradeshows, celebrity events or Pro Bass Tournaments, Leo, Ron and Jeff keep a hands on approach with their fans and the outdoor industry. Fish TV airs on 8 National networks across North America, airing over 1200 times a year.
From local hot spots to world renowned destinations, Fish TV has always been about showing our viewers the best possible places for fishing and outdoor activities.

Dan Risorto

Pure Fishing 
Dan Risorto has been fishing for as long as he can remember. He started tournament fishing in 2000-2001 and since then has had 38 top ten and 9 major wins here in Canada. Dan was also the winner of the Canada/US Walleye Tournament in 2012 and a third in 2013!  He has also won three CSFL Pike Mania tournaments.

Dan has had the honour of being named CSFL “Angler of the Year” three times and currently in the 2014 season named the CSFL “All Canadian”.

Mike Miller

Angler and Hunter TV 
Mike has become one of Canada’s most recognized outdoorsman. “Getting up close and personal with big fish and big game makes my heart race and tests my skills”.  At the age of 21, Mike won his first bass event and has since become one of Canada’s most successful professional bass anglers, with 26 major wins and 18 big bass titles! 

As a hunter Mike has traveled coast to coast in pursuit of everything from Caribou and White Tail Deer to upland birds and waterfowl. His “just one of the guys” attitude is what  sets him apart as he is willing to share his knowledge and spend time listening to other avid Anglers and Hunters. In 2004, he became host and co-producer of the popular Fish’n Canada show, where he honed his on-camera skills and in 2011, Mike joined the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters award winning Angler & Hunter Television as host and executive producer. He launched the show’s 19th season in January 2012, and the rest, as they say, is history!

“Big” Jim has been an integral part of the Canadian 
sport fishing scene for nearly 30 yrs. He was vaulted into the sport fishing spotlight with two CFT Canadian Classics…Canada’s premier tournament title along with many other victories with 28 to his credit. He formed Canada’s largest free fishing publication JUST FISHING, now entering it 22nd year.

“Big” Jim is the proud recipient of the CSIA Chairman’s Award and the first recipient of the CPAA Lifetime Member Award. In 2009 he won the Rick Amsbury Hall of Fame Award presented by the Canadian Sportfishing Hall of Fame and in 2010, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the Angler division which is secretly his favorite, as nothing beats recognition from your peers.

When “Big” Jim is not travelling over 100 days a year, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and Buddy and Bella the special Springer Spaniels.

Italo Labignan

Making Fish Feed or Strike
In 1985 Italo pioneered a concept for his own sportfishing television series, The Canadian Sportfishing Show and published Canada’s only National Sportfishing magazine. His TV series was immediately picked up by TSN and it was so well received across Canada that TSN broadcast 26 original episodes in the first season. It has continued to show on TSN 3x a week, 52 weeks a year for the last 27 years.

Canadian Sportfishing is broadcast nationally on many networks throughout North America and the Caribbean and on several over-the-air stations in Canada. Italo is a founder, partner, Director and President of Cdn Sportfishing Productions Inc.

Jeff Chisholm

4 Season Walleye
Since Jeff was a young boy,  he had a love for fishing.  Born and raised in Quinte and the Land O’ Lakes regions, he has had countless opportunities to develop his angling abilities and is a year round, multispecies angler. Over the years, he discovered a passion for guiding in waters rich with trophy fish, and sharing these experiences with others.

One day he had an opportunity to film a Fish TV ice fishing episode with Ron James and so began his involvement with Fish TV as a co-host. “It is an honour to entertain, educate and share our experiences with our viewers…and give you a glimpse into the fun that we have on the water”.

Fish TV with Ron 
Ron has been fishing his whole life. He started fishing when he was just a youngster with his dad Bill James (god rest his soul). Then, he moved onto tournament fishing as his passion for fishing grew. With numerous wins and top finishes, the next step had to be taken. That’s when he met Leo, and the unstoppable force of Fish TV is the best thing that has happened.

“My goal is to teach everyone what I have learned over the years from all of my experiences and to have a great time bringing Fish TV to our viewers”.

Jason Barnucz

Bassin' Biologist
Jason Barnucz is well known for being a versatile angler. Jason enjoys chasing all species of freshwater fish. From shallow water bass, to river steelhead to ice fishing. Jason is well known for his vast knowledge of Ontario fish species including their biology and habitats. Jason’s ability to apply his knowledge of fisheries biology to everyday angling situations is both unique and informative. No matter where you fish Jason’s knowledge and expertise will enlighten anglers of all experience levels.

Ken Collins

Fly Fishing All Species
Ken Collins, is owner of Grand River Troutfitters Ltd. This company has been operating for over 21 years and has proven it is “Ontario’s answer to fly-fishing education and tight-line guiding”. Jeremie Brooks

Trolling Secrets
Jeremie Brooks is the owner of Trophy Taker Fishing Charters on the North Shore of Lake Erie. Jeremie is a Licensed Charter Captain with over 25 years experience trolling Lake Erie for Walleye and Steelhead.  As a member of Rapala’s Pro-staff Jeremie has assisted in developing a large range of Rods, Reels, Baits and Divers to get you and your crew on the bite. Jeremie’s Trolling Secrets Seminar will educate beginners with proper program set-ups and spreads for deep or shallow water action. His seminar will assist the seasoned troller with various tips to aide in winning that tournament or derby we all dream of! If you fish out of a 14 ft. aluminum boat on a small inland lake or a 50 foot cabin cruiser on Lake Ontario attending his seminar will benefit you for the upcoming season.

Scott Walcott

3 Ways to Catch More Salmon
Scott Walcott owns and operates West Lake Willows Resort and Bay of Quinte Charters.  He runs charters for the famous Bay of Quinte walleye as well as for world-class salmon and trout on Lake Ontario.   

As Pro-staff for Rapala, Navionics, and Simrad, Scott has achieved success by utilizing his multi-species knowledge in creative and innovate ways.  Regardless of the season or technique, Scott continues to explore and share the finer details of fishing and what can aid in your fishing success.

We haven't forgotten about the kids! Fish TV and your Ontario Toyota Dealers bring you the Kids Zone area where all the fun and action is FREE. There's a live trout pond, so all kids can experience catching a fish. Free fish balloons, kids tattoos, lanyards, and for live entertainment, the Toronto Raptors Dance Pac performing every hour and signing autographed posters.

Leo Stakos and Ron James and Jeff Chisholm, hosts of Fish TV, will be on hand signing autographs and taking pictures with their fans. Don't forget your camera!
