Canadian Forces Display

The Canadian Forces are happy to be back at the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show.
Showcasing unique aspects of the military, visitors to the display can learn about how their military operates and survives outdoors.

Children under five feet tall can challenge themselves on our new obstacle course called ‘Juno’s Jungle Gym.’ Built and designed to promote physical fitness, this fun activity will inspire anyone to keep active. Upon completion of the course, kids will receive a signed certificate from the Army’s beloved mascot Juno the polar bear! Juno will even be on site to give out a few high fives to kids who complete the course.

Visitors can also have their faces camouflage painted and get a Canadian Forces temporary tattoo.

Joining us again this year are Advanced Mountain Operators from the Queens Own Rifles of Canada. These soldiers will rig a three rope bridge for visitors to cross, and other exciting and challenging activities with rope for everyone to try.

Are you up for carrying the weight of an average soldier? Take the opportunity to try on some of the equipment we use and clothing we wear to survive outdoors.

The Canadian Forces are working to help others in over 13 countries around the world. More than 5,200 Canadian soldiers, sailors and airman and women are deployed overseas on operational missions. The CF display at the Toronto Sportsmen's Show offers Canadians a chance to talk with some of these exceptional and dedicated people, many of whom have returned from an overseas mission. Hear their storie first hand and see some of the equipment used in training and overseas missions.
